Curran harvests the ideal blend of northeast hard and softwoods to produce premium pellets that provide more BTU’s per pound and create a lighter ash than hardwood-only products.
I got a ton of Curran premium hardwood pellets since my retailer was out of my favorite Barefoot. Not bad, but definitely more ash than the barefoot. Other than the ash they are good in my opinion.
After burning almost a ton of Curran Blend, Im happy to see the pile diminishing. Heat is ok, ash is unreal, minimal clinkers. My Englander doesnt like em. Barefoots and Lignetics are my favs this winter. Hamers are too hot for our application.
We burn an Enviro m55. Great stove that can heat our entire 2700ft in the right circumstances. Used curran pellets for the first time on a 5 bag run. Truly are the worst I’ve ever used. Am used to burning Cubex or Canawick hardwood pellets or Eagle Valley or Okanagan softwood, all are very good. Great bright strong flame – so optimum btu. Curran have weak cool flames and produce easily twice the ash which is very grainy and tarry. Terrible pellets in my opinion. Never again.
I well never buy another bag of pellets from currans I bought 4 tons of there hardwood pellets and in the past 14 hours I’ve had 2 auger jams do to the amount of dust and junk in the bottom of there sealed bags.
I have a Rika Integra 2 stove. These pellets are far WORSE than pellets at Lowes or Home Depot. The ash has to be cleaned out twice daily. There is so much ash the pellets back up into the auger after a few hours. We bought a ton last week and are SO disappointed! DO NOT BUY
We have a Harmon Accentra insert. It was not inexpensive but has performed very well for a number of years. This year we bought 4 tons of Curran pellets. We will never buy them again. They produce much more ash and not enough heat. They fouled the pst sensor in the stove after just two months. We are going back to Green Supreme next year.

Never Again
HIgh Ash output and these pellets have a weird smell to them. Used the Curran Premium Hardwood which is a blend and I will not use these again.
