American Wood Fibers Ultra Premium White Pine Wood Pellets
100% Softwood (Eastern White Pine) – Super Premium Fuel
American Wood Fibers Ultra Premium White Pine Pellets are made from pure Eastern white pine sawdust with no bark, additives, or recycled material. The result is a high-performance softwood pellet that delivers exceptional heat, low ash, and an ultra-clean burn for pellet stove owners who expect premium quality fuel.
Typical performance: These pellets boast heat levels above 8,700 BTU per pound and ash content around 0.25%. Because they’re made exclusively from white pine, they ignite easily, burn evenly, and produce less than half the ash of typical hardwood blends—keeping your stove cleaner and more efficient all season long.
Availability: American Wood Fibers distributes the Ultra Premium White Pine line across the U.S. through select hearth dealers and specialty retailers. Always check bag dates and storage conditions to ensure you’re getting a fresh production run for best performance.
Status note: This ultra-premium softwood pellet remains one of AWF’s top-rated fuels, manufactured under strict Pellet Fuels Institute (PFI) standards for consistent quality and heat output. Each batch is screened for fines and moisture to guarantee smooth feeding and clean burning.
Bottom line: If your stove runs best on softwood fuel, American Wood Fibers Ultra Premium White Pine Pellets are a top-tier choice. They burn hot, clean, and long—ideal for homeowners who want dependable, low-maintenance heat from a trusted U.S. producer.

Sept 2014: My first impression are that these pellets come in the nicest bag I have ever seen. These pellets burned very nice and the heat was good. The ash was average and the pellets fed nicely by not hanging up in the hopper on the walls. There was a little hang up but not too bad. The only thing I noticed was that if I had my air up a little higher, I probably would have has less dirty glass on the stove.<br>
Nov 2017: Really nice pellet! Burned hot, smelled good, ash was low. Again, the bag is awesome and thick. You can move them with ease without worrying about putting a finger through the wall. Great Product and I recommend these pellets this year.

Have a Harman P61. Been burning pellets for over 15 years. Miss the days of pellets at $109 a ton. Burned a lot of great and crud pellets. A big part of the difference is what your stove likes to eat. But some pellets are just full of crud. Bark, paper, cardboard etc. AWF softwood has been a brand I grab when they are available. They are on the top of my lists to look for. I burned them last in 2016-2017 but can’t find them this year 2017-2018. They leave a little creosote residue in the cooler bottom of the stove, but it’s not much. They burn ultra clean and hot. I can go days without scraping ash from the burn pot. The ash is light and blows from burn pot easily. And clinkers are minimal. My stove loves them. Top rated in my book.
Burn very hot, very little ash and I have not have one clinker in over a ton. So here is the problem. These pellets have several holes in each bag. If the place you are buying them from stores them outside you are going to have problems.
Another thing about these, use your thermostat on your stove and run the feed at a medium setting. It you do that you will not get the black soot buildup, in fact if you have a soot buildup just crank up the stove and the heat will burn it away. It’s not rocket science!
I have a Harmon Accentra and love this machine. I’ve been using AMF pellets for two years now and have not had a problem with them. I fully understand the anger and frustration when you buy a ton of pellets and they suck! I truly believe that this happens with all brands, premium or cheap ones, at one time or another. But I would be upset if I bought tree tons of a pellet and one ton was fouled! Very little ash with this brand.
HAHA Who could believe you with this review. It is for a White Pine pellet (what is pictured), but then you describe it as a hardwood … Am I missing something!?
I have a Harman Accentra insert and I’ve always burned Vermont Pellets through it. The reason I didn’t buy them this year (2014-2015 winter) was my dealer ran out and wouldn’t get more until January 2015. Wasn’t crazy on the other pellets he carried so I started to look around. I picked up few bags, here and there to try different brands out. Found theses American Wood Fiber “White Pine” at my local Home Depot. I picked up about 26 bags. They burned nicely and decided to purchase 3 tons and had them delivered. When they arrived all 3 tons were shrink rapped and no damage from a fork left at the bottom of the pallet. I started moving them into my heated garage one by one. First ton OK, Second ton OK, Third ton NO GOOD, every bag on that pallet was like concert. The bags had no sign of damage or pin holes that water or snow would get into. Returned the damage ton to Home Depot and replaced it with another damage free pallet.
I burn about a bag and half on a cold winter’s day. Every bag I opened was loaded with sawdust that I could fill a 12oz coffee mug with. Every bag also had water or moisture in it and made all of the pellets to swell up and fall apart into sawdust. These pellets are by far the worst pellets I have ever burned. I was cleaning my stove every weekend and the amount of soot that was on the heat exchange was like concrete and was hard to scrap off. The side of the house is all covered with soot which I have never had before. I normally never write reviews but felt that I needed to on this product. I hope to save someone from experiencing the issue that I have. These pellets where not cheap and I would not buy them again. Even if someone wanted to give me 3 free tons of this shit.
