Indeck Wood Pellets
Hardwood / Hardwood-Dominant Blend – High Quality Fuel
Indeck Wood Pellets are produced by a U.S. manufacturer and designed for residential pellet stoves that demand consistent quality. Their production emphasizes clean raw material, careful processing, and aims for minimal dust and ash.
Typical performance: These pellets are packaged in 40-lb bags and built to deliver solid heating output with ash levels kept low. They are PFI-certified and marketed toward homeowners who want a step up from typical value bag fuels.
Availability: Sold through regional dealers and selected retailers, especially in the Midwest and northern U.S. Because they’re a higher-quality product, stock and seasonal availability may vary — check bag date, storage condition and local dealer inventory before buying by the ton.
Status note: Indeck remains in production, but like many premium pellet brands, batch consistency and distribution can fluctuate season-to-season. Make sure you’re getting the current-season run for best performance.
Bottom line: If you’re looking for a hardwood-dominant pellet that delivers reliable heat and cleaner burn than many value blends, Indeck Wood Pellets are a strong option — just inspect the bag date and verify your local dealer carries them this season.

looks like we al agree that in deck pellets are of poor quality. I too have to clean the burn pot frequently, thought maybe the stove was not working up to par, but after a thorough cleaning i had only a slight improvement. Running the stove on high while away is not an option, it fills with ash to the auger and shuts down on over temp.
Not happy With these pellets. They burn ok when it’s not very cold outside,But when it is I can’t get much heat out of them and they simply just are a mess.
I’m not happy! I’ve purchased pellets for 5 years now and although these Indeck pellets produce good heat, but they are by far the dirtiest pellets I’ve ever used! The klinkering in the burn pot is so bad, I have to clean it out every day and that’s on the lowest setting. After one day the pot is so full the pellets roll off the top and fall to the bottom of the firebox. Last year I burned Pennywise Pellets made by Marth and I thought these were the dirtiest pellets ever because I had to clean the stove every 2-3 days. These pellets have them beat in spades! In the past I have had to clean the stove about once every 5 days or so with other brands, so that is the standard that I’m basing my review on.
Hey AJ. I’m hoping that my stove performs better. I just bought a skid (1.3tons) from woodpellets.com I have never burned them before so I look forward to a comparison reviews. Do you have any pics to the amount of ash? I have found that with a really dense pellet, you need lots of air. I ran into that with the New England pellets 2 years back when the density of the pellets were crazy. good luck!! Admin
After comparing a half dozen different pellets I’d have to put Indeck in the bottom 1 or 2. The pellets are a very good density as claimed. The dark color and higher than my “normal” pellts ash remnents is my basis for the reveiw. The dark color tells me there is more bark in the blend and that is reinforced with the higher ash content left in the firebox.
It pains me to submit a negative review on such a subjective product.
Pellet performance does differ depending how hot and what damper settings you are using. Each pellet stove is a unique animal and will perform a bit differently depeding the pellet and the operators methods.
