Indeck Wood Pellets
Hardwood / Hardwood-Dominant Blend – High Quality Fuel
Indeck Wood Pellets are produced by a U.S. manufacturer and designed for residential pellet stoves that demand consistent quality. Their production emphasizes clean raw material, careful processing, and aims for minimal dust and ash.
Typical performance: These pellets are packaged in 40-lb bags and built to deliver solid heating output with ash levels kept low. They are PFI-certified and marketed toward homeowners who want a step up from typical value bag fuels.
Availability: Sold through regional dealers and selected retailers, especially in the Midwest and northern U.S. Because they’re a higher-quality product, stock and seasonal availability may vary — check bag date, storage condition and local dealer inventory before buying by the ton.
Status note: Indeck remains in production, but like many premium pellet brands, batch consistency and distribution can fluctuate season-to-season. Make sure you’re getting the current-season run for best performance.
Bottom line: If you’re looking for a hardwood-dominant pellet that delivers reliable heat and cleaner burn than many value blends, Indeck Wood Pellets are a strong option — just inspect the bag date and verify your local dealer carries them this season.

After burning pellets for 3 years in a central boiler maxim outdoor boiler, Indeck pellets from Menards are the dirtiest pellets I’ve ever used. A lot of unburned pellets and less heat than others. I use approx. 10-12 ton per year. Tried many different brands, don’t buy these.
I bought 4 tons from TSC for 2011 after they sat outside all summer long. They just didn’t burn quite right, and definately built up in the burn pot. I emailed Indeck and they sent me 2 bags to try and had me send 2 bags back to be tested. The new bags burned great, yet the old bags I sent back they claimed tested fine. I give my stove a good cleaning after every ton, and scrape it morning and night.
My best advise is buy pellets that are fresh, not after being stored outside all summer long. No matter how well wrapped, they absorb moisture from rain. I now buy in the spring and store them under a roof. Pellets burn much cleaner. Still leary of Indeck though…
what a waist of money, you need to clean it every day, I was better off using fuel oil, the cost plus no effort makes it a better choice. it polutes the air, and coversthe outside of our house and yard with soot. you should be ashamed of the false ads on your bags. When people ask what I am burning i let them know its your product. I get about 1 ice cream pail of saw dust in two bags, I have to sift it before i load my hopper. Do you buy back bags?
I’m firing up a Harman PB 105 for the first season and have been burning Uncle Jed’s softwood pellets with great results. Thought I’d try some Indecks and was disappointed. Fire was lazy and smoky, and a heap of partially burned pellets wound up in the ash pan. Went back to the softwoods and they burn like a blast furnace.
Great pellets which I wish i would have bought more, High heat output, low ash. only ones I found that haven’t clumped in my burn pot. Much better the Propellets, zero saw dust
