Have been burning pellets for eight years. On my my second Englander stove (the first was older and purchased second hand). I have tried many different brands of pellets, will definately stay away from big box store off brands, and have settled into using Instant Heat exclusively for the past four years. They have had a couple of production issues, which were immediately addressed and solved, but overall the quality and results have been excellent and they have been helpful, accommodating, and honest with any issue. I would recommend them without reservation.
I have been a burner for 5years now,&yes I have a New Englander pellet stove.it works great.had to change out air blower.for me,IH is the best pellet.BF is over rated,&price is to.it leaves chalky soot, tar like stuff in stove,& exhaust pipe.some bags ran good,& then awful bags.I’ve burned alot of other pellets also. IH is the real deal. Like Manglos said….when you find what works best in your stove,stick with it. Also you want continuity,and IH does. THANKYOU IH for a GREAT consistent pellet.
Regard Instant heat pellets. There were too many long pellets causing stove to crack . I sleep on the other side of the wall from the stove and the noise is a constant nuisance. I have a P43 Harmon.
I burnt two ton of these for 2013. Green suprem remain suprem. These had some very long pellets over 2″ in lenghth. My MT Vernon seemed to handle them ok, but we did have one lone auger jam with them. The heat output is not great, at least not in my stove. And they are dirty. They made way more ash than the green suprem and they left a tar like stain all over the glass hours after cleaning. This year I got 4 ton of Green Suprem and a ton of something else. Next year i may get all green suprem. I would only use these on a bag by bag emergency basis. We didn’t like them at all and honestly the 30$ we saved per ton over the green suprem was not worth it.
I don’t know if I got a bad batch because of high demand or what but mine was extremely high in ash content and did not produce near the heat as energex or green supreme. I have to say overall I was highly disappointed.
