I have an England’s evolution pellet stove. This would be my second stove the first being an old earth stove. We have been burning pellet fuel for probably 20 years all told and today I had something happen that has never happened to me before. I purchased this pellet fuel from Lowes and much to my surprise this morning the stove shut down. I thought I was out of fuel but when I checked the hopper was still half full. I tried to restart it and that’s when I saw it wasn’t feeding fuel. I emptied out the rest of the fuel from the hopper to see if the feeder was working and much to my surprise I found a small piece of stone had jammed the auger. The only place this stone could have come from was the fuel. Luckily it didn’t do any damage to the auger and I was able to dislodge it without too much trouble.
