We bought our stove in April 2011. We had to replace the igniter in November 2011 even though the stove had been used very little. Now it’s November 2012 and we have to replace the igniter again. We wish we had not purchased this stove. Our previous stove (other brand) went for 10 years before we had to replace parts. VERY dissatisfied with the Lennox and the dealership we bought it from.
igniter is basic problem replaced last Dec and it is on its way out again. Heats real well as we own large old house in New England. I find that if you clean out stove once a week it runs very well. people have noted glass getting dirty, I can tell you that this is the easiest glass I have ever had to maintain. two other pellet stoves I have had you had to clean glass almost daily
We have had this stove (Pellet Stove Insert) for just over a year, Igniter went and it really does not generate enough heat. Ignitor was replaced and now it just ignites burns up the first pot of pellets and goes out. I would NOT reccomend this product. Total cost with Tiling 10k and with all the service costs we could have used oil to heat the place for 25 years.
my parents have the lennox winslow and they have had no problems at all. they clean it about every 10 bags. they found that the okanagan soft wood pellet burns best. they tried hard wood and it just builds up with ash and get clinkers. so if you own this stove definately a good softwood pellet is the way to go or you will have problems.
Had bought mine in sept.2008.Problems:Veryb hard to maintain operational, needs constant attention in cleaning;it fails to light very often;have to restart few times before igniter does job;It only works, heats well if it is installed in a whole open area, heat has a hard time circulating aroud walls{trhey don’t tell you that when you buy it!}It is not for the unprepared. Can’t just light it and go on …like a wood stove!I strongly believe LENNOX sould back up this product with longer warranty and]or free partss as needed.buying igniter.and other parts is not cheap. That defeats the purpose of saving on heat.Is lennox listening?! Also i bought mine in n.j. I live in n.y.few miles away.N.J. repairman will not cro0ss state line to service it!Disgusting, don’t you think LENNOX?.It is also very expensive to call a repairman after warranty runs out!Lenniox wi9ll you help us?Model winslow ps 40
