Going on our second year with the P23 insert. No problems to date. Happy with the performance for price. Heats the 1800 sq ft of our ranch to 70 no problem on the 2 or 3 out of 5 setting depending on on the outside temps. When it gets below 25, you really gotta cycle it at 3 to keep things toasty. But during the milder days and nights in the 30s and 40s, I get almost 24 hours on a bag of Maines Choice on the 2 setting. We rarely use the 4 setting as it eats pellets quick and will toast you out of house and home. This stove burns the hardwoods nice and hot and a little cleaner than the hard/soft blends. Noticed it doesn’t burn as clean on the lowest setting. I shut down the stove and scrape the burn pot at least 2-3x per week during high use. It does tend to grow clinkers after a couple days no matter the pellet and the hard ash buildup can block some of the burn pot combustion air holes. The fans run a little louder than I’ve heard on other stoves, kind of a whine but not annoying by any means. Easy to clean and maintain. Oh and we love the remote thermostat hookup option!
