Looking forward to burning these Lauzon pellets. Like Cubex, they are usually consistent and burn hot with low ash. I’m basing my review on a few people who have tested them out and will update my review once I get my hands on these next week.
Follow up: Nice burning pellet and fires right up…..but….. Getting carbon buildup that needed scraping out of the bottom of the burn pot after 6 bags. Good pellet but a little ongoing babysitting is needed.
Pros
- Good Heat
- Great Smell
Cons
- Carbon buildup bottom of burnpot
- thin bags

Okay, so follow up. I have pretty much gone thru 5 bags of the comfort zone. No scrapping was needed at all in the burn pot area. Ash build up at the upper end(or blower ramp) of the burn pot was was zero. No build up, no clumps like some other premium brands I have tired. Absolutely no ash build up at all. All the pellets are pretty darn uniform. No issues what so ever going thru the auger. The glass turned a little brown, but not black like most other brands. I am very very impressed with these pellets. They run perfectly thru the stove, they burn consistently and heat is the same maybe a tad better than some other premium brands. I just went and picked up a ton, highly recommended
I have just purchased 5 bags of the comfort plus. In my area they are aprox. $3.00 more per bag. While loading the stove dust seems to be very minimal. Size of the pellets seems to be fairly uniform. So far, I have put only put 1 bag thru the stove(it is still early fall). Thus far no issues, Heat so far seems to about the same as most other brands. I am running thru my harmon stove. I will follow up after I have run thru all the bags
Garbage pellets. Should be called clinker plus. Chokes out my harman with in a few hours. Paid premium price for them, based on stove shops recommended them as a alternative to Vermont or matra. Had to mix them with cheap pellets just to get them to burn through the night.
