This premium wood pellet fuel provides 8900 BTU per pound. Made from Spruce and lodge pole pine, this blend has less than ½% ash and less than 4% moisture.
I have a enviro mini. was burning pellets from North Idaho Energy. Clean the pot once a week. Ran out & could not get more, bought Dragon Mountain pellets, have to clean the pot every 2 hours.
I just pick up one Ton (50bags) of Dragon Mountain Pellets, from my dealer he said they are Pinnacle as he was told from the sales deptmartment , Pinnacle web page indicates they are theirs, the Quality is questionable they not the same as the regular Pinnacle pellets, notable my hopper gets a stinky odor in it , they burn with lots of ash and clinkers, cause glazing on the bottom feed screw, in my Harman XXV Pellet, the pellet slightly sticky from the warmth of the hopper that could cause future feeding problems
I find these pellets give off less heat than others I have tried, leave more sooty residue, and that the ash cakes very badly. I believe that these things indicate a high moisture content
i just recently started burning these, after 7 bags the amount of caking in the burn pot is huge and i have discontinued using them, bad thing is i’m stuck with 93 bags of junk. the caking in the bottom of the pot is so bad that after 2 days with a p240 stove the pellets are laying on top of the and climbing back up the drop tube, i’m literally afraid of a fire in the hopper which holds 240 lbs
Premium Wood Pellets????? I don’t think so! I have gone through approximately 15 bags of these pellets and every single time I’ve come to clean my stove (which I do on a daily basis), there is a caked on film about 1/4 in thick at the bottom of the pellet tray. I have to ram on it in order to break it up. Today after doing so, there were still live embers even after waiting for the stove to cool down completely. Everything started smoking and almost caused a fire. Premium quality? I think NOT!!!!!!!
