Dry Creek Wood Pellets

Dry Creek Wood Pellets

100% Hardwood – Premium Grade Fuel

Dry Creek Wood Pellets are made from select hardwood sawdust, engineered for high performance with strong heat output and lower ash than standard fuels. The manufacturing process focuses on uniform pellet size, minimal fines, and consistent quality to support efficient home heating.

Typical specs: Recent product versions list around 8,200 BTUs per pound and ash content 0.5% or less. They’re bagged in 40-lb units and distributed via regional dealers and online suppliers.

Availability: These pellets are available primarily in the Northeast U.S. through lumber, farm-supply and heating fuel outlets. Because of their hardwood composition and premium positioning, stock may be more limited—so always check bag date and storage condition before purchasing by the ton.

Status note: Dry Creek remains active in the premium hardwood pellet market. That said, user forums note batch-to-batch variation, so testing a few bags early in the season is a smart move before committing large orders.

Bottom line: If you’re running a pellet stove optimized for hardwood fuel and you want a clean-burning, high-heat option with better than average specs, Dry Creek Wood Pellets are a solid choice—just ensure fresh bags and good local availability.

      1. Ash and dust

I have been using Dry Creek for several years and have been happy with them until this past winter season. So much ash. Emptying ash so much more, and the dust is unbelievable. Please maybe look into these problems before next season.

      3. Fucked up packaging

We have used Dry Creek Wood Pellets for nearly 15 years. We are very pleased for the most part with the product up until this year. They always said from hardwood except for this year with the clear bags. Speaking of bags your new clear bags for a lack of better words ABSOLUTELY SUCK. I just got done cleaning up what I could from 5 bags that have split open while handling them. Waisting a good portion of each bag. NOT VERY F****** happy over it.
