Easy Heat Pellets

Easy Heat Wood Pellets

Hardwood/Softwood Blend – Reliable Everyday Fuel

Easy Heat Wood Pellets are made in Ohio using clean, recycled wood fibers from sawmill byproducts. Each 40-pound bag contains a balanced blend of hardwood and softwood, giving you consistent heat output with moderate ash levels and steady burn characteristics.

These pellets are screened to remove excess dust and fines, helping them ignite cleanly and burn efficiently. They’re designed for residential pellet stoves and work well for homeowners looking for dependable, no-frills heat at a reasonable price.

Availability: Easy Heat Pellets are distributed throughout the Midwest and Northeastern U.S. and are commonly stocked at farm supply stores and regional retailers. Like most blended fuels, results can vary slightly depending on your stove setup and the specific production batch.

Status note: Easy Heat continues to produce pellets under the same brand, though user feedback suggests some batch variation in ash content and burn quality. Always check the bag date and inspect for moisture or excess fines before purchasing by the ton.

Bottom line: If you’re looking for a solid, American-made pellet that offers steady heat and good value for everyday use, Easy Heat Wood Pellets are a dependable option—especially when fresh and properly stored.

      1. Run away from Easy Heat pellets, far far away!

I bought Easy Heat pellets for our 20 year old Whitfield Profile 30 stove that my wife and I have in our kitchen to supplement our central heat for our open plan kitchen and great room, and sometimes it is our sole comfort heat source during the shoulder seasons. Needless to say, our old reliable stove has ingested tons of pellets from many different manufacturers over the years, usually between 1500 and 2000 pounds per year. I went to our local Ace Hardware to buy 12 bags of Somerset pellets, but they only had one bag of Somerset left and I ended up with 11 bags of Easy Heat. I ran one bag, and the pellets performed horribly. Heat output seemed to be lacking at about what I estimate to be around 2/3 of what we usually get, and excessive ash that clogged about 60% of burn pot over a 12 hour burn. The Easy Heat pellets also left about and inch and a half or so of light grey ash in the bottom of the burn chamber. Maybe its the softwood blend that did it, but I never had anything like that performance with the many different pellets that I have run previously. I will stay away from Easy Heat pellets in the future, and as much as a pain in the posterior that it is, the remaining 10 bags are going back to the Ace Hardware. I love and respect my old stove, and I won’t make her ingest that garbage again.
