Energy Pellets of America Wood Pellets

Hardwood/Softwood Blend – Made from 100% Recycled Wood

Energy Pellets of America manufactures their pellets in Wilmington, Ohio from 100% recycled wood—specifically retired shipping pallets and other clean residuals—that would otherwise go to waste. Their goal: a responsible, high-density pellet fuel that meets or exceeds premium standards.

Typical specs: rated at approximately 8,000-9,000 BTU per pound with ash content under 1% and moisture under 8%. These pellets are bagged in 40 lb units (one ton pallet also available). The blend includes both hardwood and softwood species, offering versatility in wood‐pellet stoves tuned for either type.

Availability: Wholesale and direct sales are available through the manufacturer; dealer/distributor availability varies by region and store. Because the material is recycled and the product is produced in small batches, bag date and condition should be confirmed.

Bottom line: If you’re looking for a cost-effective pellet that uses recycled wood, supports domestic manufacturing and still delivers respectable performance in a pellet stove, Energy Pellets of America is worth considering—just verify fresh stock, bag date and compatibility with your appliance.

Great pellets, arguably the best ones I have tried to date. High heat output through the entire winter. My neighbor loves them as well, but ran into a bit of soot and ash buildup. After cleaning out the base of the exhaust pipe there were no issues the rest of the winter.

    Pros

    • High heat output
    • Less expensive than other brands

    Cons

    • None I've personally ran into yet

Best pellets I’ve tried to date! They burn well and longer than most I have tried. My neighbor ran into a bit of ash and soot buildup, but cleaning out the base of the exhaust pipe instantly fixed it. Will continue to buy unless they run out.

    Pros

    • high heat output
    • works well with PP130

    Cons

    • None that I've seen yet

These pellets don’t even smell like wood. I saw where they have vegetable which might explain why they gum up my stove and put out nasty black smoke. Run the other way

    Pros

    • Price

    Cons

    • They create black smoke, gum up my stove and leave nasty residue in burn pot. Terrible product

These have got to be the worst pellets we have ever used. they stopped up my stove, they blacken the glass in like five minutes. and they only put out about half the heat of true wood pellets. they dont even smell like wood pellets

    Pros

    • there are no pros

    Cons

    • they have a weird smell, they stopped up my stove, the glass is coated black in five to ten minutes. they put out aboput 1/3 to 1/2 the heat of a true wood pellet. they would not consider giving my money back after one day of having them. Ill pay more from tractor supply because atleast they r good quality
