Great Unit! Period. I bought this as a used unit this year and I live in Madawaska Maine in aroostook county up on the Edmunston NB Canadian Border. First thing is you need a well insulated house. Mine was built in 1998 and on the lake up here so the winds are whipping off the lake. The trick is to set the aquastat away from the unit about 10 feet or so facing the outside wall of the house. Second make sure your oil or gas primary burner temp is set way down. I have 3 zones and the house is well over 2900 sq feet. With ease the unit is heating my entire house and the Garage at 60 degrees. My house is at 70 degrees and its below zero and this baby is keeping up with ease. Really toasty! Man this thing is awesome! At through the roof oil prices this is doing its job well. I had it piped directly into the existing system so when the zones call for heat it just cranks. I have a big home for this system and they told me to ignore the BTU’s and its doing a fabulous job. I turned down my oild burner so it would stop kicking in to 130 degrees low, because the temp drops to around 140 even though its set at 170 and 185 max. The temp does drop but it keeps up well. I changed my fan blower immediately when I purchased it and bought 2 more to keep on the shelf. Fans do go on any unit they are constantly running, so buy a few spares ( they are 50-60 bucks) the pop right in and if you do not clean them regularly like required they will crap out on you. Clean them every 2 weeks religiously and they will keep cranking. Overall, saving some huge money this year and its well worth the investment!
I WILL BUY THE HF60
I have one do you want to buy it cheap?? they are junk like the co. that sells them and makes them
how long a guarantee do you have on the firepot for harmin flex 60 pellet boiler?
I have a few questions about the Harman Hydroflex60 combustion blower. I have had the unit for just over two years and I am on my 4th combustion fan. It is making a lot of noise and it seems to be time for another fan (after just 4 months). The last 4 fans were installed under warranty, but now it is my turn.
1. Do I need to buy just the fan blades or do I need a whole new motor?
2. Has anyone found a solution to making the fan last longer? (my next try will be to avoid cleaning it because this time the noise began immediately after a cleaning).
3.Are there any good videos/how-tos on replacing the fan? Please provide links if you know of one.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
FYI. I live in coastal Maine and heat a 2200SF house exclusively with the boiler, including hot water. We use 8 tons of pellets per year.

HydroFlex 60. Does anyone know how to fill it with water?
Hello John Reynolds,
I am in Connecticut and in process of getting Hydro60 upon research I have read couple of reviews about Hydro60 and they seems to be good until I stumbled on your review I am curious to know what made you so unhappy about Harman Hydro60, Also if you could tell me how many total feet of baseboard you have throughout the house, what is the square feet of the house. I will really appreciate it.
Thank you
Jay
Hi I have the hydroflex 60 in my home for years now, this year seems to be the coldest temps since we istalled this unit. I have noticed that the unit will not heat to the desired tempiture settings. I have the min at 180 and the max at 185F the unit will stop heeating around 145-150F witch is much less than the tempiture required to heat our huse. Any ideas on how to correct this??
