  1. This machine is an absolute workhorse. I’ve NEVER had a single issue with the supposed “overheating” problem
Even used it in summer on low to just heat water… Flawless

  2. I also had the sprinkler going off as the draft was running back into the hopper BUT you should never have got so hot in the hopper to melt the gasket . I tightened the gasket on the Augertube from the hopper to the pellet pot . I also put gasket cement around it . I put tape around the side cleanout that I never used and burnbacks stopped .
Why would the sprinkler safety go off and be Your fault ? I have a tarm 2.5 owned since 2005

  3. I have a 2.5 multi heat. I use pellets. It’s been running great since 2009. Only a few times have the sprinkler safety system went off. Mostly my fault. A few weeks ago it didn’t go off and it got so hot in the hopper that it melted the seal on the lid. It’s a mess in there. Has this happened to anyone else? I clean it regularly.

  4. Hi Dale ,

I am having the same problem right now with a tarm pellet 2.5 . It seems like the draft is going into the auger assembly ? The stove has run since 2005 with no problems . Sometimes it goes 2 days and then a burnback , sometimes 10 days and then a burnback . As far as load , last night it was 28 Degrees and I had a burnback .
Draft is good , stove is clean . I don’t know if you’ll get this as I’m posting a year later but were you able to solve this problem . Thanks

    Rich
