I got these at Ace Hardware in Norton, MA on sale for 219.99 a ton in October 2016. I have heated my home with a pellet stove for 10 years, and this batch of Inferno Gold pellets are the best I’ve had in 10 years. Extremely low dust and ash. They are small but burn very hot. I have my stove set on low and a bag lasts me 20-22 hours. I really love these pellets. I think the price has gone up, but I will continue to use these pellets.
I have heated with a St Croix pellet stove for the past 10 years. This year I tried Inferno Gold (soft wood) from Big Y @ $259 a ton. I have been able to run my stove at a lower setting with a lot of heat. Clean burning no fines to speak of, the ash is vary light. lots of heat with a big flame. Would buy again
Burned 5 bags of these in my VG 5770. Ash is light and fluffy, very good heat but most of the pellets are small and burn very quickly. And at 6.99 a bag they are over priced.
