Poor quality
The quality of the pellets have dropped significantly since last year. They are full of sawdust and burn very dirty I thought we were paying for pellets not sawdust some of the bags are open in the 1 ton bundle.

Very dirty ashy pellets
I am a new pellet stove user. I have been trying various brands of pellets to determine which brand works the best in my stove. I read the reviews on this site to figure out which brands I should try. I burn 3-4 bags of each brand, cleaning stove when I switch brands, to try and get an accurate rating for use in my stove. The Lignetics brand I bought at Ace Hardware, are far and away the worst pellets I’ve burned so far. They leave a lot of ash, and leave a build up in burn pot that requires a lot of scraping to clean out. This happens after only 24-36 hours of burning, maybe 1.5 bags. I feel compelled to share my findings, these are horrible. I have one bag left, and will not be using them.

I’ve been burning a pellet stove since 2005. I always swore by lignetics pellets. In the last 4 or 5 years the quality has really gone down while the price keeps going up. When you break a pellet between your fingers they don’t snap like they used to. I used to recommend them to everyone. Not so much now. Very disappointed in the quality. The packaging is poor also. They used to be the best you could buy and I never minded paying a little more for them. Now they just aren’t worth the price.

Poor packaging quality
Well sadly the last two years the bag and packaging quality has fell off the charts. I bought 4 tons(4 pallets) today and had one pallet that was apparently left outside for the last 3 years and maybe even used and reused a few time, it was broken. The bags now are so thin it’s easy to tear one by just picking it up to use. Very disappointed in this drop in packaging quality. Rumors are there is a new owner who seems to be cutting corners in some area and raising prices also. Double dipping, by reusing pallets that are so crusty I was scare it was going to fall apart after I unloaded and stacked that pallet. Very disappointed the last 2 years of this.
