New England Wood Pellets

New England Wood Pellets are a high-quality pellet fuel manufactured in the Northeastern U.S., blending approximately 80% hardwood and 20% softwood to deliver strong heat and steady performance. One retailer lists BTU at around 8,192 BTU/lb and ash content near 0.56%.

Skin specs from other listings: up to ~8,300 BTU/lb, moisture around 3-5%, and ash in the ~0.4-0.7% range.

Availability: Produced at facilities in New Hampshire and New York, these pellets are distributed throughout the Northeast and are often listed by local lumber and heating-fuel dealers for bag or pallet delivery.

Status note: While this brand has been active for years, recent user forums flag quality and consistency issues in some batches—so look for current season bag date, fresh stock and inspect bag condition before bulk buying.

Bottom line: If you’re heating in the Northeastern region and want a quality hardwood-blend pellet with good performance, New England Wood Pellets are a solid option — just verify you’re getting a fresh run and check local supply.

I thought it was my imagination that this years pellets are burning colder & ashier. But you guys are right!

    2. Ron Jean

This years pellets reached a new low. Moisture in the bags causing lumps and swelling. They burn with much less heat than normal. Bags ripping so in short will never order these again.

They don't burn as hot as before. Moisture in the bags causing lumps and swelling. I had to return a ton plus already this season

the original owner sold this company and every part of this pellet is terrible since. high ash, high moisture, low heat, terrible packaging the absolute worse from any pellet brand (other than the other brands made by this same company). cant carry a bag in the house without the seals blowing out the side and top.

I've been burning pellets for 20 years. these are the worst pellets I've ever used burns real dirty, some of the pellets are 2 inches long witch jams the auger, bought 2 ton and about 35 or so bags are ripped so far i have about 20 bags left on the pallet big pain sometimes just picking them up and setting them on the porch the sides rip open.

      Ash cup fills way fast.
      Super dusty.
Every time I clean the stove I have to clean the hopper remove pannels to auger and side of stove and vacuum the auger. The amount of dusty pellets is unbelievable and they clog the auger so bad it dislodges from the motor. This is every time I have to clean it. Never had this issue with dry creek my go to brand. DO NOT PURCHASE UNLESS YOU WANT A HEADACHE

I have burned New England pellets exclusively for the last 5-year and with very good results. I bought 6 ton very early in the spring and now that I am burning them I can not tell you how disappointed I am with the quality this year. Very little heat, high dust and high ash. This is the same company that produces the crap box store brand Green Supreme. I will never buy a Lignetics (Parent Company) product again.

I’ve used a few different brands from the place I bought my stove, mostly from Canada, and never had the problems I’m having with this product! can you actually believe they perforate the pellet bags?! SERIOUSLY?!! Any third grader knows that this kind of wood product absorbs moisture like a SPONGE!!!
