Pellergy LLC has been working with Burnham Boilers and parent U.S. Boiler Company since 2008.
For new installations, Pellergy recommends the use of Burnham MPO boilers. Pellergy wood pellet burner systems have been extensively tested with the Burnham MPO series of boiler in both residential and commercial applications. These high efficiency, triple pass boilers are designed to burn fewer pellets. The hinged front door makes cleaning the Burnham MPO easy and fast. Burnham MPO boilers and Pellergy wood pellet burners: A combination that is 100% made in the USA.
Pellergy LLC, a Vermont manufacturer of wood-pellet burners and bulk-storage units, has teamed up with a manufacturer in Finland and secured the exclusive North American manufacturing rights to its burner systems—systems that Pellergy manufactures wholly in America, mostly in Vermont. Unlike solar and wind power, Pellergy’s wood-pellet burners and in-home bulk pellet astorage systems work using proven, familiar combustion principles. Years of Pellergy testing and further years of residential utilization in Northern Europe have established the reliability of Pellergy’s systems.
Pellergy’s wood-pellet burners are Underwriters Laboratories-approved and have undergone real-world testing for the last four years. Pellergy systems are approved by homeowner’s-insurance companies, pre-approval by mortgage lenders. and-a real bonus-wood-pellet heating systems qualify for federal (and often state) tax credits.
The burner is the technologically-enabling component of the Pellergy Wood Pellet Burner System. The burner combines the necessary ingredients for complete combustion—heat, fuel and air—to produce a clean-burning flame to heat the boiler or furnace.
The burner provides for fully automated combustion by incorporating an electronic ignitor, combustion blower and a photoelectric flame sensor. The burner ignites the pellets, supplies combustion air and monitors the flame for proper operation. Design features of the burner allow for very high temperature combustion without suffering the effects of corrosion or thermal breakdown.
Pellergy’s burners are efficient. The burner operates on gasification principals to provide for the most compete combustion possible. Primary combustion air gasifies the wood pellets within the burner, then pre-heated secondary combustion air is injected to produce a bright orange flame reminiscent of an oil burner flame.
The burner mounts directly on an existing boiler or furnace or can be used to fire a new system if desired. The Pellergy burner is flexible and can be set up to meet the heat output (btu/hr) firing requirements of your system, just like an oil gun. The burner is set up, optimized and left to automatically fire your system for years to come with minimal maintenance.
The inner burn chamber of the Pellergy burner is cleaned on a regular basis to remove the buildup of clinkers (noncombustible parts of the wood pellet). An optional Automatic Cleanout system can be installed in the Pellergy burner to remove clinker buildup without user intervention, dramatically increasing the time between required maintenance.

I am interested in such burner and needs more data
I need small wood pellets burner
I have a chappe wood/oil boiler that I would like to convert to a pellet boiler installing a PB-3550 where the oil burner was at
Thanks for the feedback guys! I’m going into my fourth heating season with my personal Pellergy PB-3550 and it continues to save me money over oil. I’ve got mine installed into a Peerless JO Series boiler making steam for my single pipe steam heating system. Also does all the hot water.
For the first two seasons I ran the unit year round and dumped bags of pellets in. Two years ago I added a bulk hopper and auger system to automatically fill my wood pellet bin: No more bags!! I also figured out that keeping a boiler warm all summer long to heat a hot water tank made little sense. I now use electric in the summer for hot water, but dream of adding some solar collectors one day.
Check out more info on these systems here: http://www.pellergy.com and

This is our second year on the PB-3550 Burner and it works wonderfully. We kept our existing oil boiler and the wood pellet conversion was painless.
We lost some basement space to the hopper, but only because we didn’t pull our oil tank. This way if the price of pellets spikes and oil drops for some reason we can switch back to fossil fuel in an hour.
We converted our fuel oil hot air furnace early this fall. Fun to see the short video as this burning action is not visible when furnace is operating.
I can say from first hand experience that the burner and burn chamber are easy to clean! I am not a mechanically inclined person and I find this periodic cleaning task to be very easy.
It is important to burn high quality, CLEAN pellets. Cutting corners to save a few pennies will cost you in BTU production and furnace efficiency. Don’t fill your furnace w/ clinkers !!!
