I have a Harmon pellet insert for my fireplace for the last six years and have had no problems. I clean it out once a month and normally would empty the ash container every two and maybe three weeks. These are far and awayway the worst pellets I have ever had. I need to empty the ash container every two days after only two bags of pellets. Before it was 15 to 20 bags.
I have Whitfield Adavantage II and burned pellets for the last 11 years. I religiously use and am pleased with Hamer. Occassionally, I will use Lignetics and haven’t had any significant problems with them. I’m glad I came across this site, because currently there is a pellet shortage in the northeast. However, Power pellets seem to be somewhat available, but I will avoid them thanks to this site.
