New pellet stove /Sweet Home, Oregon
Purchased my quadrafire classic 1200 3/1/22, now going into our first winter. So fare stove has worked well with a couple of adjustments for better performance. Came from using a wood stove. The heat is entirely different with a pellet stove as to a wood stove. Just a matter of adjustment on my part learning how to use the pellet stove. I have found the pellet stove heat does not have the same quality of heat as the wood stove. Well as I said, it is an adjustment on my part, we well see. I have found the idea of having a thermostat controlled stove to be very convenient especially setting it to come on early in the morning when it is 25 degrees. Customer service has been good.

Do not purchase a QuadraFire Classic Bay!
Have one that is less than two years old pa it is pealing off door and ash tray door Quadrafire’s answer “paint has a 1 year warranty”. If this is their quality what other corners have the cut.
Will share any photos you wish to see.
A Quadra Fire Classic Bay 1200 was installed on 12/18/16. Cleaned it on 12/24. On 12/29 stove shut down. Saw the firepot was dirty so did a complete clean. Stove is connected 6o a live outlet but will not start. I called Quadra Fire and they do not help only refer, called the dealer, he knows nothing he only sells them. Called the installer, he does not know anything but installing. Finally found help but it took 7 1/2 hours of phone calls and emails. Had an Englander for 19 years, yes it needed repairs over the years but do it yourself repairs. Would I recommend this stov? Not unless I really don’t like you.
Purchased the stove in October 2012 and have been using it since. Ran about 2 tons of pellets though so far (about 100 bags) and have no problems. My house is approx 1750 square feet L shaped ranch. Stove is at one end of house in living area which is an open concept design. I set stove on 72 which keeps the living area at 72 and keeps bedrooms on opposite end of house in mid to upper 60’s. I live on LI, NY and have not used my oil heat once this winter and do not intend to. I purchased an ash vacuum and spend 10 mins every 3-4 days vacuuming out the ash. Ashpan has to be emptied every 1-2 weeks. Depending on the quality of the pellet, the glass does get dirty 24-48 hours after cleaning. No big deal. Best purchase I have made for my house. Just beware that the warranty that comes with the stove comes with parts and labor for 1 year. But if something goes wrong, you have to go through the local dealer and in my case the dealer charges me $168 just to come look at it. So the warranty is a bit of a scam
