The first thing you notice when you open a bag of Rocky Canyon Pellets is the uniform warm rich red pellets. This is unique only to Rocky Canyon due to the amount and quality of natural Red Fir used in each pellet. Other pellets have a white, grey or even a brown pellet; this is a result of using inferior wood. We choose not to compromise the quality of our pellets by using inferior woods, other fillers or glue. As a result of using the finest natural materials, Rocky Canyon Pellets burn HOTTER, LONGER, and CLEANER. Providing a quality, environmentally friendly method of home heat is our unwavering goal. When you use Rocky Canyon you can consistently count on burning the finest quality pellet in the industry.
Summary

This is our second year using Rocky Canyon wood pellets. They seem to burn with less ash than other brands I have tried and they have worked without any problem in our pellet stove.

Used to be the best
I’ve used Rockies for years. Last year I had to travel 2 hours to get them and they cost $2 more than other brands. Usually this would be worth the time and money but the pellets were now different. They were yellowish and not the usual pinkish red color. They burned horribly with lots of soot and ash. Previously even in the coldest part of January I would rarely go through a bag a day and only need to clean the stove once a week. Last year’s pellets we’re almost two bags a day and almost daily cleaning. This year the pellets were $3 or more expensive than other brands which was too much to chance based on last year’s poor quality.

Great Pellets / BAD RAP
The industries best pellet compromised by idiots spitefully damaging the bags resulting in 10% to 15% bags compromised by large unnecessary tears and bad hot seams as well as poorly wrapped pallets bundles causing the pallets to fall apart on the back of the truck and trailer.

A+ hate having to use other pellets when I can’t purchase rocky canyon. These pellets start easy, burn clean, produce great heat and minimal ash. Others I’ve tried are fails in comparison. My only complaint would be availability. All local retailers in my area are always sold out. ( because everyone wants them) I don’t use a lot but don’t like to burn anything else.

Bummed
Awesome burning pellet, however this year at least 97% of the bags were not sealed properly. Almost every bag broke open when stacked and/or lifted. I have bought these for over 10 years and have raved about them, however next year I will purchase another brand (Lignectics) due to the waste. Super bummed!!

These are the best heating pellets I have ever used. They don’t cake up in the burn pot and burn hotter than others that I’ve tried.

great pellets
i found the pellets to be clean and not as dusty as others, not any dirt or bark mixed in the pellets, only problem is they sold out in Feb, before I could get my third pallet
can you buy them at the factory?

Too long, dusty, wood shavings mixed in
We bought a pallet. The pellets are too large and you scan hear the auger cutting and grinding them. Lots of wood shavings in each bag, and lots of dust in the bags. But does burn hot. Not sure what to try next as not impressed.
