VERY VERY unsatisfied and no response from company
Very very dissatisfied.. I even emailed that Matt guy 3x with no response.. pellets are 4 different colors and unburned hard clinkers.. some of the pellets are white? So after attempting to contact the main guy on the site Matt.. i’m washing my hands from a disrespectful person as him never again.. Just bought more pellets from a different company guess what! All pellets are the exact color and look great.. Thanks for being a great customer service person Matt..

I have burned UNCLE JEDS in my Harmon P 43 for 2 seasons and I am very happy…The heat output seems very high and the ash collected in the pan is really low. I also love the smell of an open bag in my rec room where the stove is..Funny, but its like an air freshener…There’s an old saying IF ITS NOT BROKE THAN WHY FIX IT and that’s how these pellets are to me…
I live in Elkhart Lake WI. I heat a 2000 sq foot brick farmhouse (Some uninsulated!) with ONE Breckwell Big E. I have no secondary heat source.
The stove is undersized but will keep my home at 70 deg. with Uncle Jed’s. None of the many brands I’ve tried will push enough heat to keep up during the roughest part of winter.
Here’s the kicker: I can not use heat levels 4 or 5 on the big E using Uncle Jed’s. The high limit switch kicks the stove off after 20 min from the extreme heat put out by these pellets. I used Djeno and other pellets in a pinch and they will burn on level 5 all day long! That brings me from 2 1/4 bags per day to over 3 bags per day! I’d go broke by “saving” $20.00 per ton. I burn 7 ton per year, can only transport 1/2 ton per trip in my mini van and still travel 40 min each way (To Oostberg WI) for these pellets.
In the 2014 extremes, I replaced the rear panel of my stove with a fitted fan panel to keep the wiring and motors cool. the air on the high limit switch also allowed me to run on level 4. Three bags per day 24/7, and I shut down every other Sunday for a quick vac and window wipe. Full of fluffy fine ash (White), NO solids or clinkers EVER! I remove and FULLY dismantle the stove annually but even with the “neglect” over the winter, parts are surprisingly clean although tired!
I have a Breckwell Big E installed in my basement, and it has been running for 2 years now. I found a local supplier for pellets that burned much better than what I obtained at the “Big Box” Stores, but they decided not to sell pellets this year. I knew of the store in Dale, WI, but had not gone there until this year. I wish I hadn’t waited. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful for one, and they definitely have a superior product to anything that I have run through my stove thus far. The pellets burn hot and clean with little soot and ash compared to anything I have burned before. I will be going to them for all of my pellet and pellet stove needs moving forward.
