At Wood & Sons, our commitment to quality and community has deep roots. We are proud to work with local loggers and lumber companies to source the finest raw materials for our pellets, and the difference is noticeable! Wood & Sons pellets burn hotter and have far less ash content than our competitors, and when you buy a bag of our pellets your money is staying right here in
our community, where it can do the most good! We believe in our product and we think you will to. We even use it for heat in our own mill right in Sanford, Maine! Give us a try and let us know what you think! We know you’ll see our commitment to quality in every bag you burn.

Summary
August 2019 – Amaizing new plant up the road.
Tony who is the “maine” man up at the brand new Wood & Sons pellet mill in Stanford ME, called me up and invited me up to take a tour of this brand new state of the art mill. I’m super impressed with the first few weeks of pellets. They are burning super hot and almost no ash. Look out VT wood pellets! Once Tony get’s these dialed in they will be hitting the market and you will need to keep your eyes out for these 100% Eastern White Pine softwood pellets for sure.

Not worth the price
They burn hot, and don’t have much ash, but they leave too much creosote on the glass. To me, it’s not worth the 25%+ price over a cheap pellet, for the 10% increase in heat, if it dirties up the glass faster. Granted, I have a large ash tray in my harman p43, so ash content doesn’t matter much to me. I know some people have an issue with them not sliding down the hopper, but I didn’t have that issue.
