Available at Home Depot and Lowes , Produced by Curran Renewable Energy, LLC pellet mill that is located in Massena NH produce the North American Wood Pellets? That is what I was told last
Poor heat output and large volume of ash. I’ve used an Enviro M-55 pellet insert for the past 6 years and burn 2 tons a year. Purchased pellets 10/2015. Despite experimenting with feed rate and air supply the heat output was very low and ash output was very high. I try to be scientific and shoot infrared temps at the heat vent. In a cleaned stove, max temp at 2 hours running at feed setting 3 (1-5 scale) was 176 degrees F. Cleaned stove and ran a comparatively priced New England pellet. After 2 hours on feed setting of 3 temp was 276 F.
Ran out of our first choice Fireside pellets from last year, so we had to buy a few bags to get buy till we could buy a pallet. Tractor supply had North American pellets and the guy said they worked well. Grabbed 5 bags…BAD choice. Blacked out the whole inside of the stove ( Avalon Arbor ), wicked creosote build up on windows and back wall. Very dirty burning… A lot of ash after 1/2 bag burn. Bag had a lot of fines that had to be strained out prior to loading hopper. Pellets range from 1 1/2 inches long to pea size. Our auger pushes up then pellets fall down. At times would only get a couple of pellets, so it had to be babysat. I WOULD NOT recommend this pellet to anyone.
In my 8 years of owning a pellet stove, I have burned many brands of pellets. I bought a pallet of American Pellets October 2014. Let me honestly say this. I have never experienced the worse pellet for heat output.. Not only was the heat output minimal, but the ash content was overwhelming. I had to use a hand trowel to remove the ashes from the stove burning box. In addition, the soot output quickly blackened my stove window. I contacted Lowe’s about these problems and hopefully they will never buy this brand again.
I have a Harman p68 a my pellet stove has worked amazingly I bought it 6 years and I love it the problem is the price of pellets continues to rise each year which is now becoming ridiculous I bought five tones of North American pallets I’ve never burned this brand before and I will never burn them again these pellets have clogged the pipe that goes out of my house so badly that my stove will not come on and I have to call professional to come clean my stove 2 months earlier than I normally would I bought them from Lowe’s and when I spoke to the person at Lowes the store manager I feel he’s lying to me when he says nobody else has complained about these North American pellets they suck I have never had a problem with the pellets I buy from Lowes until now do yourself a favor never by the North American pallets they’re awful they make more ash than any other pellets I’ve ever burned and the creosoul is like mud North American pellets are terrible
i have a vogelzang had e3 code come up and unit shut down not good called tec support no help took it back to store and got a new one same thing e3 also stands for jam auger among other things my stove is a slim line started to read up on this stove you can only burn 1/4inch or 5/16 inch no more then 1 inch so i got hand full of pellets some are over 11/2 inch go figer you would think common sense tec support would know this and they do make to much ash my buddy is burning big heat about 1/2 inch long and burn great
I have been heating my house with a pellet stove for years. These are the first pellets that I have ever came across that I was so dissatisfied with. The burn hot and pile up embers and creosole constant. I am cleaning my stove almost daily. I just had the fire dept leave here..these burnt so hot and pile up they were starting the top on fire and the shoot. I am calling to have the other ton returned to the store tomorrow. Ive been saying I was for the last couple weeks and now I am done!!!

Lousy heat and tons of ash. Glad I bought only 1 trial bag. Don’t bother.

Small correction on location of North American pellets
The bag I just got from Home Depot states “Massena NY 13662”. You list it incorrectly as NH .
