O’Malley Wood Pellets
100% Hardwood – Premium Appalachian Fuel
O’Malley Wood Pellets are made from 100% hardwood wood fiber with no additives, and come from sawmill residuals that have never come into contact with the ground—ensuring a cleaner burn and fewer contaminants.
These pellets are bagged in 40-lb units and produced in the Mid-Atlantic region. Their hardwood composition delivers a dense burn, strong heat output and lower ash compared to many blended or softwood fuels.
Status note: The brand remains listed and available through regional dealers. However, some users report batch variation in recent seasons, so it’s wise to check bag date, inspect for excessive fines, and test a few bags before buying in bulk.
Bottom line: If your pellet stove is optimized for hardwood fuel and you’re looking for a locally-made, clean-burning option with strong performance, O’Malley Wood Pellets are a solid choice—just verify freshness and storage quality before committing.

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED IN BAGS NOT BEING SEALED PROPERLY
been buying six tons per year for many years now and the bags quality just don’t get any better! Was told this year by my supplier before I ordered pellets, that the company improved the sealing of the bags. That was a big lie! I will be looking for a different brand this next year! I’m highly disappointed with O’Malley!

Pellet Problem
My Pellet stove stopped feeding pellets even though the auger was still turning. I removed the pellets from the hopper and two pieces of paper and a small piece of plastic were blocking the auger. It looked liked it made it into the bag during the bagging process. I put some pellets into the hopper and the stove works fine.

Industrial Eng. Over 25 years burning wood pellets. Consultant.
Burn pot clinkers almost every bag. They snuff out the air into burn pot. Too much bark in pellet mix. I switched to Lignetics.. Not one clinker in 50 bags.
