Is it my imagination or do
my newest pallet of RMR pellets. produce significantly more. Ash?
These are the worst pellets that I have ever burned. I bought them because of the price, I guess that it what you get for being cheap. They are very LOW HEAT. I have been using pellets for heat for the past 6 years, buy far the worst pellets that I have ever burned. Can’t wait until I have burned them up ad go back to using TINY EMBERS made in my home state of New Mexico USA. Don’t get burned and buy these pellets they are JUNk!!!!!!!!!!
The last two year quality has dropped to “0′. This year i try, and buy anything other than Rocky Mountain. I is disappointing on several levels…. with the amount of bettle kill in this state, the in ability for someone to create a decent product is sad. I am buying pellets from ID and WV.
I have a king pellet stove.somerset burn the best and hottest . tried easy heat that was a mistake. Low heat an always cleaning the stove do to soot build up . never had such problems before. Call and try to speak to a person in charge an operator puts you to a voice mail. Wasted money.
We are so disappointed with the Rocky Mountain Pellets this year. This year, like last, many of the pellets were wet and hard in the bag. I won’t complain about clinkers from the other manufacturers now that I’ve seen just how big a clinker can be. I have tongs by the stove to clean them out. Some are as big as my fist, no joke. We use the Quadra fire pellet stove and love it.
i have a lopi pellet stove and have burned the rocky mt. pellet the last 3 years. the first 2 years the pellet were great, this year they are terrible. they look more like sawdust and i have to clean the stove every other day. i called them to ask about the problems with the pellet and found out that the original owners sold out to Confluence Energy. the lady i talked to explained that they had a bad batch with high moisture get out and make no offer to comp me for the 2 tons i bought. @ $240.00 a ton i am upset. i will switch back to new earth next year
We have used these pellets for a few years. Had very little ash. This year we have a lot of ash. Our stove has been cleaned two times this season so far. We have an Englander stove. It is 5 years old. Any suggestions ? My brother in-law changed brands this year and wanted us to because they were $40.00 cheaper a pallet. I don’t like the brand he got because they have to much ash.
Thanks for your help.

I bought a Breckwell wood pellet burner three years ago. I bought a ton of wood pellets from the business I bought the stove from and I wasn’t very happy with the way they burned. I went to a local Agway dealer and they sold some hardwood Michigan pellets which were better the the first ones I had bought. When they ran out of those pellets the only brand they had was Rocky Mountain. He told me that many of his customers really like the Rocky Mountain brand. So I bought a ton and really liked them. I bought 4 ton again last year and they gave a good hot heat with very little ash. I went back this year and the owner told me he wasn’t selling wood pellets any longer because there wasn’t any money in it. So I am pretty disappointed.
I haven’t seen these pellets in the Northeast for the past two years, but the 3-tons of them I burned in the first season I had them made me a believer in Softwood Pellets. Love the fact that they were made fro pine beetle killed trees. Burned very clean with little ash, HIGH btu and no clinker. Very reliable and easy to use pellet that put out the heat!
I have burned about 15 bags so far in my Glow Boy. They haven’t Jammed up my auger, unlike the Penningtons and Heatrs that I had been using. These put off good heat on lower settings but seem to smoke more- glass gets dirty quickly. These have been much more reliable than the last 3 brands I have burned. Still searching though…
