Used for first time this winter. They are the best I’ve ever used. Cleanest burning, very little ash. Previously had to clean stove every day due to black glass and lots of ash, today is day 3 of constant burn, and glass is still clean and very little ash. I have a.ways used the ” best” pellet before, but the ” Blazers ” are THE best

Used these pellets in 2019/2020 2020/2021… we we pleased with them in previous years but this 2021 winter has been a pain. Pellets are too dry, release loads of sawdust in the bag and in the auger feed. Shut both our stoves down several times and prompted deep cleaning. Pellet feed at mill is not working correctly and there are many 2.5″ pellets in the bag that can get stuck crossways in auger feed. And what’s with the numerous black pellets that look like the wood used may have been burned in places? Will be on the hunt for a new product this year as we depend on these stoves to zero and below temps and pellets shut stoves down in the middle of the night…..

I expected low ash, high output, quality Douglas Fir pellets, which I had received in the past. After burning about 20 bags on the Blazer “Douglas Fir” pellets I received in November, 2020, I realized that the burn rate (bags consumed/week) and amount of ash residue were quite a bit higher than I expected and had experienced with Blazer wood pellets, in the past. I examined the information on the bag (which was quite different from the description on the website from which I ordered these pellets), and was very surprised to note although the bag had “DOUGLAS FIR PELLETS” in very large letters, the listed content was “Blend of Hardwoods & Softwoods.” Thus, although they MAY contain some Douglas Fir, it’s very unlikely that they are Douglas Fir pellets. By the way, Blazer Pellets used to be made by West Oregon Wood Products, of Columbia City, Oregon. These pellets are listed as “Another earth-friendly product from: Forest Energy Corporation” of the same city. Hmm. The old adage, “Caveat emptor” (Let the buyer beware) clearly applies here.
