Bought my clean energy pellets from lowes. Have gone through 1/2 pellet and am returning the rest!!! About 3 bags clogs up my auger and i have to keep hitting the top of my pellet stove to get the dust unstuck in my auger, then i have to let it run completely out, cool down and then vaccum out the inside of the pellet holder! Have had my pellet stove for 3 winters now and have never run accross this issue before!
Breckwell Pellet Stove: Bought these pellets from the Lowes in Bensalem near Neshaminy mall PA. smells like hardwood but….. tons and tons of sawdust, bags look like they were wet at some time or they are just old. even though they were wrapped in thick white plastic, I purchased a ton and now really regret it. every bag I open I immediately have to take scoop after scoop of dust and swollen pellets ( old or have been wet) out off the top of each bag. Im on the fence off returning these due to the pain staking work of loading and reloading and then restocking in my garage. I know some of the crappy stuff is getting into my pellet stove and getting concerned it may jam up my worm gear. Not sure how they placed PICS but if you look at the above pics in the other review where it looks loke sawdust and particles sitting in a vacuum cleaner head… thats what I have to pull out off every bag. A LOT OF WASTED MONEY. They seem like they burn well, Moderate ash left over however thats not gonna help me out if my stove breaks down as a result!!!
these pellets just seemed to foul up the burning tray and left a lot of residue on glass and stovepipe
Best pellets I’ve ever used. I can’t believe how low ash they are.
I decided to try these pellets in my Harmon P35i fireplace insert and they burn hotter than the North American in my stove.and the price is right.
They do there job but they do produce a lot of ash I have had to scrape the pellet burn pot after one month of burning I had to empty the exhaust ash pan once already after burning maybe 15 to 20 bags
I own a P68 Harmon Pellet stove. I have had it for over four years and have not had any issue with it until this year. I mistakenly bought a ton of clean energy wood pellets. After about three bags my stove shut these pellets made so much fine ash it plugged everything up. I had to clean everything especially the exhaust. Ran three more bags through had the same result. If you have ever been to North Carolina you would realize that it is mostly pine trees I have a hard time believing these are hard wood pellets!
Mount Vernon AE – Lots of clinkers. Lots of vacuuimng. Had to do a full stove cleaning after 25 bags. Ash pan filled fast. Had to scrape burn pot daily. Will not buy again!
I think they are from Hamer’s I compared them to a bag of hot ones, close but a little different in color. They burn very well in my breckwell 5520
I found a screw jamming my auger this morning after using a bag of clean energy pellets. Has anyone else had this problem?
