Lignetics wood pellets are made from recycled, renewable sawmill waste. Our wood pellets contain all-natural biomass products and are manufactured at the highest quality control levels, designating our wood pellet fuel as premium grade. Lignetics premium wood pellets produce a consistent, high BTU output and produce less than one percent ash. This translates to a hotter, more efficient burn, which means less wood pellets burned, fewer wood pellets purchased, less space needed for storage, fewer trips to the wood pellet hopper and less waste to clean up.

I am pleased with the heating efficiency of the wood pellet fuel I have purchased from Pres-to-Logs. However, I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE PACKAGING OF YOUR PELLETS. Several bags have ruptured when I tried to pick them up because they were so thin. Some of the bags punctured from the pressure of my fingers before I even tried to lift them.
I’ve been heating my basement (unfinished, below ground) for 9 seasons with a Kozi KSH-120 pellet stove.
I looked at buying 3 tons pellets for the 2015-16 season, but the price of my usual Cleanfire Hardwood has soared to $300/ton, plus $94 delivery. So off to Lowes I went, and purchased 4 bags of Presto Logs for a trial run. Well, after burning them, I was very impressed. Higher heat output than the Cleanfire, no klinkers, and about the same ash. My local Lowes (Paterson,NJ) has them @ $837 for 3 tons, plus delivery.
I’ve been heating my home with pellets for ten years, and have used various brands of pellets available in my area. The first six years I used only Lignetics brand. They were priced right and burned very hot with little ash. Then the price went up, and the quality went down – badly. I went to Hamer brand – a top quality pellet at a very premium price. I’ve tried the junk they sell at Home Depot and some other retailers and hardware stores. My favorite pellet now is the Cheat River brand out of West Virginia, and surprisingly, bought at my local Lowes store. They burn very hot with very little ash. Be careful though. I also tried some of the Pres-To-Logs pellets at Lowes and found them to be the worst pellets I’ve ever used – and they are made by Lignetics. I believe the pellet manufacturers must be using whatever wood source is available , and it must vary from time to time. I very strongly recommend checking several pellet review sites before buying pellets, and , to save the most money, order your full winter supply early summer from a supplier (wood stove store) who can store them for you, and you pick them up as needed.
Where can I buy this brand of pellets in Lancaster Pa. We used to get them at Home Depot and the last time it was a different brand and we did not like them….we had to clean our stove every other day because of the ash build up!!
Hello I have a kozi 100 pellet stove. The presto logs of 2013/14 were much better. They were much darker and the heat was incredible. I saw a lot of people complain of their stoves clogging but in the kozi you can increase the air flow and the stove never clogged. This year the pellets are lighter and mixed with different shades of pellets. They’re average now, comparable with stovechow. Still very good but nowhere as much heat as the year before. I drove 4 hours round trip twice and way overloaded my truck and wound up disappointed. I guess you can’t please everyone. They were great even amazing compared to others but now they’re still good but average. Little ash decent heat. I also use them in a winrich dynasty with the same results. Also able to adjust combustion airflow. Hope this helped.
its not your stove,i have a pel pro and these pellets are very dirty lots of dust low heat lots of ash and black sut and can not turn my stove on high it will clog the fire box up and waste alot of pellets they also have a bad odor while burning now i am cleaning my stove once a day with these pellets I will never buy these pellets again they are way over priced at $250 a ton at Lowes.very disapointed in these pellots.
I have a ussc king Ashley model 5500m
I just tried press to logs pellets, I always used lignetics love these pellets minimal ash high heat, if I can find more ill keep buying, this is my 4th year with a pelletstove
I just my Harman P43 pellet stove this year. I did not get my pellets ordered until later so I’m still waiting on delivery. So in the mean while, I picked up some bags of
Pres-to-Logs at my local Kmart to get me by. They seem to heat well and produce little ash.I was able to get a few bags of Barefoot to try and I must say I wasn’t impressed. The heat output seemed good, but the ash buildup in the burn pot was terrible. I tried adjusting feed rate, etc with no change. Hope this helps.
Very good pellets, burns hot with very little ash and no residue!
Prest-O-Log wood pellets are the WORST I have ever used in 5 years of owning my englander stove. Stove is clean and all internal passages are clean and free of ash. These pellets would not stay lit and I tried calling the Lignetics company in Idaho to ask what was the problem and was met with a very rude women who told me to call Home Depot and stated I needed to buy a prest-o-log fire starter log to start these pellets which was not stated on the bag and then she hung up the phone on me. Very rude customer service from Lignetics and I have since informed the CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS OF HOME DEPOT to inform them of the harsh nasty treatment I received from this company. I returned all 6 bags to home depot and purchased GREEN supreme pellets from Lowes WHICH BURN FINE and you don’t need a fire starter log to start them.
Stay clear from PREST-O-LOGS – The company is very rude and the product does not work and will only cause you to waste time and money returning these DEFECTIVE PELLETS.
