Put two bags of these in a USSC 5502 that was working great at about 8 PM. Woke up early in the morning to a house full of smoke. Stove shut down because the burn pot was clogged with carbon and then smoked. Spent the entire day with the doors and windows open. I just shoveled out the feed hopper. I am bringing these back — less than one star. Never seen that happen before. Do not buy these pellets.
As most people stated they are junk ,by far the worst pellets I ever used. Out put is very low need to turn stove up to 80 to 85 degree’s to get good heat. Now I don’t know if any one else has developed a headache while burning them but I have ,started using them late October by Thanksgiving I developed a headache didn’t thing any thing about it till my friend stated could it be from the pellet stove so I cleaned it and re taped the flue joints nothing changed .So I got 3 bags of my regular type and headache disappeared it came back when I started using them so I’m stuck with about 2 tons of junk pellets. No matter where I look I can not find any info on Still River Pellets to see if they use a binder in there pellets….DO NOT BUY they are junk….
Was told by McKenney Electric that there was a production problem and the chance of getting Force pellets for the remainder of the 2019 season is doubtful. Is this true???
Worst pellets ever. Lots of soot, plugs up auger, constantly cleaning window and burn box. Bighuge chucks of pellets together and lots of dust. Looks like bags just have gotten wet Bought 3 ton ad stuck with them.
Worst pellet I’ve burned. I have a free standing Avalon Astoria that burns damn near everything really well. These had tons of soot and really poor heat output. Got 5 bags at Lowe’s and definitely NOT getting more. They’re labeled “hardwood pellets but had a Very strong odor of pine/evergreen when I loaded them in the hopper.
