Turman are the best pellets around
I’ve had a pellet stove for a decade and Turman pellets are the best. Great heat and low ash. Can burn nearly one ton before needing to empty the ash box. My local dealer has had trouble getting these the last 2 years and I’ve tried Hamer Hot Ones and the produce a ton of ash. Had to empty the ash drawer after about 1/4 ton. Now trying Hallmark and I know I won’t be happy. Turman Pellets are the best I’ve found in SW Pennsylvania.

Best pellets!
I have been burning these pellets for years. They burn hotter and have less ash than any other pellet I have tried. Hands down the best pellets. I even have to drive past 2 suppliers and go 30 minutes away to get them. Worth the trip.

Not as good in 2019
Been using these pellets for 10 years. This year the were terrible. I got a lot of black build up inside. Enough that I could not see through the glass.
There was a lot of green chunky ash.

Purchase of Turman pellets December 5
We have used Thurman pellets for 10 years and Until the last purchase have always considered it the best pellet to use. We purchase the pellets a ton at a time. The pellets are great quality but the sealing on the bags this time were very poor. 10 bags out of 50 purchased broke open when we were unloading. Since we are on a fixed income this represented a substantial loss on our purchase. Hopefully this info will make it to the production department so that the sealing mechanism of production will be adjusted on the bagging process.

Disappointed with Turmans Hardwood Pellets - Premium
I drove an hour to purchase 5 bags to test before buying bulk. I am disappointed.
The volume of very short pellets is extremely high. When burning in my Kozi Previa at the normal # 2 setting the flame in the fire pot is barely visible and the volume of sparks flying out is abnormally high. The heat output is good and the volume of Fines is low. They seem to burn clean but I have not cleaned the stove. I have only used 2 of the 5 bags. I will NOT Buy a Ton.

Bag Sealer needs more training!!
I used to love these pellets. I probably burned over 10 tons of Turmans over the years without any problems.
Today I get a ton of Turmans and 1/3 of the bags were not sealed properly and split open while we unloaded them. What a mess!

Great pellet.
I’ve burned these pellets in my Harmon stove 2 out of 4 yrs I’ve owned my stove. My only complaint was last year when they would create a lot of clinkers. I noticed a lot more sawdust in last years bags and that’s what caused the clinkers. After burning hammers hit ones this year I’m going back to Thurman. The Truman burned to a powder and a lot less ash content than hammers.

I had bought 3 tons of Thurman this past season 2017 very cold winter in Maryland. I had bought 10 bags at a time in the past and they burned great. But this year after 3 tons I’ve had to fight to keep them burning. I will not buy that many of Thurman again. I had dirty Glass hard starts and clinckers
Best you can get Running a classic Bay 1200. Heating a 1600 sq. ft. Home. Usally use a bag/day with temps in 30 to 40 degree range. When it gets down in single digits I use 2 bags / day on high output setting. Pellets burn clean and hot. I clean firepot evervy 3 days but I’m just being alittle anal about it.
