Pellets are not putting out as much heat as they did in previous years been using them 10 years now and I think I’m going to have to find something else. They changed something!

Don't even think of buying
I have been using various brands over the last 6 years. Some were very impressive, others just ok. I have a Harman P43 stove. Generally, and according to my manual, I can burn 1/2- 1 ton of pellets before needing to clean. This year I purchased 3ton of New England pellets and am EXTREMELY disappointed. They’re full of fines and dust. After burning less than 20 bags my stove started having issues. I finally had to shut it down and when u cleaned it the sensors were so plugged up they couldn’t read correctly. My Ash pan was beyond full. I’ve never seen anything like this. Now I have 2tons left and don’t think I’ll be burning then. Not really sure what to do.
ABSOLUTELY the WORST pellets.

stove going off on low setting, very little coals to ignite new pellets coming in
I’ve been burning NEWP for 5 years and they came out of the Schuyler plant in NY.I just got 3tons from the plant in.Deposit,N.Y. and they are totally different.bigger diameter and longer.I can’t run my stove on low setting it goes out. Coals are not burning long enough and I lost 20° on my stack temp.I’m NOT happy. You would think all the plants would be consistent in there process. Is anyone else having issues with there pellets? Now I’m.thinking about getting more pellets like IH and mixing them in at a 3to 1 ratio. Anyone else have any ideas? I’m open for suggestions.

New England premium pellet.
Great pellets. Have been using these for 10 yrs with no issues. Did not need to empty ash tray all year.

Wouldn’t buy again
I bought New England premium pellets and am not satisfied. First of all there is a lot of sawdust in the bags. Second I am emptying my ashpan every 4 to 5 days, I was using Vt wood pellets before these and only had to empty ash pan every 2 to 3 weeks.

Burned well, but inconsistent pellet lengths jammed our feed auger several times (St.Croix stove). Very little dust in the bags, produced small amounts of ash, and did not have any issues with carbon or “clinkers”. Never had any issues with any other brands jamming the feed auger, so we have steered clear of this brand.
I installed a new Harman P61 last fall and have burned New England Pellets all winter. I have tried several other both softwood and hardwood pellets and have found nothing that compares with these pellets. While some soft wood pellets I tried produced less ash, the cost was way more expensive. For me New England Pellets are by far the most cost effective option.
what are the ton price of New England wood pellets
delivery
These pellets are great – there were some concerns in other comments about this year’s batch (2018) but I decided to try a few bags anyway from a local retailer. They burned fine so we bought a ton – moved them inside immediately after delivery so they didn’t get wet. We’ve had no sawdust issues and each bag is filled with well formed pellets that burn clean in our Harman.
Bought 10 ton this year, I stopped using them when they first opened their Schuyler plant, I got 6 bad tons that year, had bags of sawdust with pellets in them. Sent samples to New Hampshire of each lot number, they apologized, paid my dealer to come back and paid for exchange of an entirely different brand. I switched pellets and dealers after that. Unfortunately my new dealer quit delivering to my area, so I went back to old dealer and New England pellets. Very disappointed with pellets again, lots of fines and no heat on cold days. Had a ton of Dry Creek delivered just to try them, definitely produced more heat, but used them up during cold spell, hopefully February wont be as cold.
