Are your pellets hardwood or softwood?
Bought these at local TSC. Burning a Harman P38+.. Got some shoulder bags to try and liked them better than Dry Creeks so I went today and purchased a ton..a lot less ash, glass stays cleaner, no clinkers, heat is the same.. Nothing on bags states hard or softwood or mix, even though the sales person said they were hardwood.. So I’m investigating that..
my first time using them, i picked up a few bags at my daughters while visiting near punxy pa. they burn hotter than what i have used this year.(stove chow, energex, and green supreme) that i get locally on long island. i am impressed with the minimal ash wich is much much less than stove chow or green supreme. I am very happy with them and would buy them every time if only they were available on long island. pick up a bag or two and see for yourself. happy heating!
I also bought these pellets at tractor supply. With the reviews I thought they would work good in my stove.I am not happy with them. Lots of ash and buildup in the burn pot. These pellets are used in a autofire pellet stove.I also noticed that I am using more pellets than when I burned Nation’s Choice.
boought a ton from craigs list was great low ash bought a ton from tractor supply now this ton total garbage will not ever buy again constant clinkering glas is dirty after less than 1 bag will not buy again green supreme or somerset all the way
best pellet i have ever bought. burn a whole ton without emptying ash bin. glass stays clean also. tsc. sold out and i had to buy another brand. the brand i bought burns dirtier and alot more ash then the pure fire. so far pure fire is by far the best i have bought in 5 years.
I usually try various types of pellets to see which burns best in my stove. This time I buy a whole ton of the pure fire boy what a mistake that was. The heat output is okay but not great. The clinkers are a constant issue.
After reading only 2 positive reviews I decided to give them a try. My first warning should’ve been when the loader operator dumped the whole pallet on the ground. There is not alot of ash but I have dig out clickers about 3 times a day. The glass will not stay clean either. This seems to be very dirty and I keep my stove very clean. Tractor Supply in Auburn New York charges 4 percent tax on all home heating.
I too purchased these at Tractor Supply and have experienced more heat and less ash. The burn pot has very little buildup. I hope our store continues to carry them.
Bought this brand @ Tractor Supply. Less than average ash, above average btu’s. Little ash build up on glass. I am really happy with these pellets.
