Worst!
We have tried several different brands of pellets. We have a new, top of the line stove. Had an older stove before this one. Wood stove before that. These pellets left so much creosote in the stove that it took two hours to clean it out! What a mess! EVERYTHING is covered with black slime! And that is only after burning 3 bags! Seriously – DO NOT buy these pellets!

Burns hotter but using twice as much and mess
Used to run Lignetics but stopped 2 years back due to ash and low output from pellets. Tried again and noticed the pellets are yellow? hardwood blend, what is the blend it has to be mostly pine as they do burn hotter than the lowes, but also having to run twice as much with twice or more the amount of ash. What a quality nightmare and doubt I will be giving it a third chance.

Low ash but clinkers to hell
Low ash but holy hell to clinkers. I used them last year but wasn’t super impressed, bought another ton this year as quality of pellets around here is abismal in this corner of Maine. Retailers seem to think hardwood burns better, they don’t. Only softwood is basically horse bedding. But this year lignetics mixed blend which was sold by the retailer as hardwood has strange issues. They burn ok but the clinkers they leave behind are gigantic. However they from in the middle of the burnpot, underneath is almost clean just fine ash and the holes aren’t clogged. Never seen this with any pellet before. Next batch I may just need to buy a trailer so I can haul quality pellets from farther away.

They have changed for the worse
I have been buying lignetics for about 12 years now. About 2-3 years ago I noticed a change. I was a HUGE fan of lignetics and convinced several others it was worth the extra $$ over Home Depot and Lowes crap. However things have changed – I heard Lignetics has purchased several smaller makers of pellets to meet demand. This has been VERY BAD for the quality of the brand. I clean once per week. Prior my ash pan would be 1/3 full after a week with a clean window. Now – 1 week my ash can overflows hurting quality of air combustion. Within 1 day my window is full of ash. I am actually testing out some new brands over the next two weeks so that I can switch. This is my last winter on Lignetics – but this is a classic business case study on a company that sold a very good product and didn’t execute on its growth properly and now will lose customers.

Great Pellets for 2020 (compared to what im used to)
I am in the midwest, and i only have 2 or 3 options to get pellets delivered to my home so i am very limited in what i can get and from where. For the last 3 years i have been getting my pellets delivered by a home center, and this year Lignetics was the brand they supplied. I have noticed a difference with these, as they burn hotter, and the ash doesnt clump and form a hard crust like previous years with different brands. I can now restart my stove without having to scrape my pot out each time. The Soot build up on the door is comparable to brands ive had in previous years. I havent had to clean out my stove yet after burning a few bags.

Fair burning but high volume of soot and smoke heavy door glass buildup.
My Kozi Previa door glass becomes filthy with each burn. Fair heat output. Light colored ash but fills the burn pot. I bought at the end of the season because i needed heat due to the Covid lockdown. I will not buy as normal pellets. I found Lowe’s Greene Team Supreme very good as a second choice fuel. Phonetics was the only available locally in mid March

Complete let down! Lignetics used to be great 5-7 years ago. Now they dont throw any heat, VERY DIRTY, “clinkers left in the pan, and hard to ignite. We went with Country Boy last year and are sooo happy. these and other quality pellets can only be found at selected dealers. They are the same price but be aware they atr hard to get and need to pre order in the summer. Go to Ct.pellet.com to see their top rated. They are one of the selected dealers that deal in quality pellets. Btw, i dont work or own this company. its just the one I use. Stay away from Lignetics!!!!!!

Bad batch?
This is the worst that they have performed, Lots of charred ash and unburned pellets, And totally lacking the heat that we were used to

Will never buy these pellets again! Many bags were duct taped at the seam, some bags open at the seam. Some opened if I mistakenly lift them from the bottom of the bag causing waste and a mess to clean up.

Make the CHANGE
I changed from another popular brand to lignetics about two weeks ago. OMG what a difference more heat, less ash and usage is down around 38%
Not only these benefits but not having to clean my stoves as much makes paying a $1.25 more a bag seems well worth it. It is well worth it. Thanks
